What makes a night club appelaing?!

Question:

What makes a night club appelaing?

Im working on a project for class and my project is to map out a plan for a night club. What should a night club have to be appealing?

Answers: Believe it or not, ALL those other answers are good, BUT here is THE answer:

Its the way the nightclub is managed AND the people patronizing the club!

You can have the best of everything: dance floors, atmosphere, shows, great food, good drinks terrific service, etc. BUT if the local neighborhood thugs are the ones running it - instead of the management - the club will certainly fail.

AND proper management includes proper cash controls and accounting!

Put all those together - along with a caring staff and management and that club will be successful about 7 out of 10 times.

Why not a success rate of 100%? The demagraphics are wrong - trying to attract one specific type of patrons over another; cutting corners; AND a myriad of other reasons.

Thanks for asking your Q. I enjoyed taking the time to answer it.

"THE University of Hard Knocks" The lights, the music, the social atmosphere... the skanktacular hoochies swingin' it like they're fish out of water. A little room to shoot up heroine/smoke crack/ and snort cocaine.

Just kidding of course.
Put a guy out with a clipboard and make it seem like entrance into the club is exclusive and only the coolest most elite get in. the music!! The architecture for one. definitely throw some pizazz in the arcitecture. Make it look mysterious from the outside. Make it so they can't quite see the whole thing from the outside and play some very loud music. music that can be heard from the outside. certain strobe lights make it appealing to. different rooms with different types of music make it pretty hip also. The ambiance and a sticky floor. Gotta have a sticky floor. It's important to have good ventilation. Having large, well lit washrooms is a plus. Having a stage for live music is convenient, since it can also be used for other purposes. A quiet room (for cellphones, private discussions, etc.) is a good idea. Have plenty of exits at the back for people to leave, and don't let anyone leave from the front. A big lighting truss with a catwalk is handy for maintenance. Use smoke machines.
