How much do we need to buy?!

Question:

How much do we need to buy?

My son's school is having a fundraiser. We are going to be selling chips, muffins, juice, water, and rice crispy treats. There are 600 students at his school. How much do we need to buy of each product?

Answers: Chances are not everyone will buy. Also, not everyone that likes muffins, like chips, the same for water or juice.
Perishable items like muffins, should be less then the others.
Also, there will probably be other student selling. So, I would not buy much.
I would buy 4 cases of 24 bottles of water. That's 96. If you have left over, is OK.
3 types of juice, no more than 80. Also, you will be OK with left overs.
Rice crisps. Commercial or home made? Commercial would be safer. 2 kinds. about 100. and the same for chips.

Hope it helps. Tough, tough question because it depends on how receiptive you target audience is to buying everything. Best bet? Overbuy at a "big box store" like Costco or Sam's Club who have very liberal return policies.

Figure that you'll be lucky to sell $5 for every attendee and work backwards to deterimine what products to offer.
