Answers: She said to bring a simple chip dip so that you wouldn't have to go to much trouble, but if you want to take a dip that everyone will rave about and want the recipe, try this one. It depends on how much you need to make. This will serve a lot of people if there are other dips as well. Take 1 can of refried beans, add 2 Tablespoons of finely chopped onions, 1/4 tsp Cumin, 1/2 tsp. dried cillantro, a dash of garlic powder, a dash of Tabasco Sauce, 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded, mix all together and let set overnight. sour cream and lipton onion soup mix - one packet of soup mix to one quart of sour cream - classic onion dip hmmmmmmmm there are so many good ones i know italian recipes for it are supposed to be amazing you could look up some of those, or you could go with my favorite quacamoli sorry its spelled wrong but * yawns* im so tired. chesese dip deffinatly sour cream and onion . its amazing or do a simple 7 layer dip HARRY AND DAVID'S PEPPER AND ONION DIP

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 of an 11.5 oz. jar Harry & David's Pepper & Onion Relish*

Mix/blend until fluffy and well blended.

Serve with corn or tortilla chips or your favorite crackers.

*Save the other half of relish for future use or double the cream cheese amount with the whole jar of relish for a larger amount of dip. The onion dip is great, but...

I can't believe nobody has even suggested SPINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP! That is super good. I think you can buy it at Trader Joes or Whole Foods or something... heat it up and you're good to go. =) Sour cream and Lipton onion soup mix. The recipe is on the soup box. It's a good dip and easy to make. a container or sour cream and a packet of lipton onion soup mix..the dry kind..mix them together

you can also do a hot dip ..you get a jar of salsa get a pound of hamburger get a regular sized block of Velveeta cheese..dump the jar of salsa and the pound of uncooked hamburger meat into a crock pot..chop the cheese up in chunks throw it in the pot..cook it on high for about an hour and a half...stir it ever so often..this is delicious on any kind of chip take a taco dip A sure win!

1 can Hormel Chili Hot with beans (the standard soup can size) - you can also use the kind without beans
1 can diced chilis (can is about the size of a silver dollar)
1 block of cream cheese

Melt all 3 ingredients in the microwave or on the stove, serve with tortilla chips.... I NEVER have leftovers. It isn't spicy either even though it looks like it is. heres one

easy chip dip
