Baby Shower?!
Thanks.
Answers: Looking for things to do and what to serve at a baby shower? There will be both children and adults at the party. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Things to serve such as food could be the follow:
chips & dip
finger sandwiches
nuts
cake(of course LOL)
veggie tray
fruit tray
cookies
Some games to play are:
Baby Scrabble
Baby Bingo
Don't say baby(if you say baby whoever catches you gets you clothespin(or you can make cute little necklaces out of string).
Feed the baby- 1 person feeds another person "baby" a jar of baby food. Have different groups of "mommy & baby" & have a race.
Get a tray filled w/ baby items(such as diaper pin, powder, lotion, aspirator, therometer, etc..) Show to the room then remove it & make them list everything on the tray.
A great game is to take candy bars and melt them in diapers, then have all the guests try to figure out what kind of candy bar it is. This could be a great game for adults and kids.
if you go online they will show you games to play and give you ideas on what to serve. They have the cutest favors also.
Some games you can play is fill a baby bottle up with candy like jelly beans or skittles. Count how many you put in there and then ask people at the party to guess. Whoever gets the right answer can when a prize. Also get play necklaces, as people come in, put the necklace on them. They can not say "baby" the whole time they are there. If someone hears them say it, they can take their necklace away. The person who has the most necklaces at the end can when a prize. you can make them yourself. Get some ribbon and small ornament from a 99 cent store. These were just a few games played at my baby shower. Prizes you can get are like a basket from Bath and Body Works or a gift card to Best Buy. As far as food, it depends on the family. Every baby shower I ever went to had home cooked food of whatever ethnicity the family was. It makes guest feel more welcome. After all, a babyshower is about family. Congratualations and good luck!!
Finger sandwiches (chicken salad, egg salad, PB&J for the little ones, etc.), chips, and whoopie pies are all good ideas for a baby shower menu. I love to make whoopie pies for a baby shower since you can tint the filling pink, blue, and yellow (or any other color) with food coloring. I don't like to make anything that people need a knife and fork for since a lot of people will be standing up and it's hard to cut your food while standing and talking to people.
