Answers: If I put really hot water, not necessarily boiling, but pretty hot water in to the plastic juice pitcher, how do I know if I am, or am not drinking plastic? doesn't water just taste like plastic sometimes? The plastic juice pitcher shouldn't have a melting point that is lower than the boiling point of water, so you should be okay.

If you want to be absolutely certain, though, use a glass pitcher instead.
