Well I think that fall desserts are always a must have. Something apple like apple cinammon crumb cake or carmeal apples would be good. If you don't want to try pumpkin pie, you can always go for pumpkin bread. It's easier and just as yummy. Corn is a nice harvest veggie. If you are going to do shish kabobs, you could grill some corn on the cob and have the different seasonings like they do at the fair. Hope it turns out great, sounds like fun and good eats! =)
those cool candies that look like pumpkins!
you should have jello shots!!!in spooky shot glasses!!!!and get some cookies shaped like spiders or cats!!!!and have everyone dress up!!!
Martha Stewart has some great ideas for Halloween she makes some sugar cookies that look like fingers they are so easy I made some for my kids. Check out her web site or show, you will be surprised. Tasha
I make this for every party I throw and everyone always loves it...I'm making it for my Halloween party.

Sausage dip

1 lb. Jimmy Dean Sausage (in the tube)
2 - 8 oz packages of cream cheese
1 can of rotel tomatoes with chilies (I use mild)

Pre-cook the sausage and drain the fat. Then throw it all in a crock pot, stir every now and then. You can cook it on high until it gets bubbly then put it on low.

Serve with tortilla chip (scoops work the best)
candy in a bowl with a skeleton head in it
soda
chips and dip
fruit punch with a spider shaped bowl you can find in wal mart
Candy corn!!! I can't stand the stuff, but I'd definitely serve it at a Halloween party.

Also, the blue corn tortilla chips add a nice flair.
I am having a Halloween party and I plan on making Ghost cupcakes, Marshmallow Spiders with Pretzels legs, Carmel apples, Bat wings (really buffalo), Deviled Eggs, finger sandwiches (cut out with a Halloween cookie cutter), and grapes for eyeballs. That is just some of my menu. I plan on having the regular chips and dip as well. I hope this helps! Halloween is my favorite holiday so I go all out! I hope you have a SPOOKY time!!!
finger foods are great. Halloween isn't complete without Deviled Eggs
candy corn
you should make brain spaghetti
and home make apple sauce
with cinnamon
ahhhhhh
everything should have a halloween theme...like drinks with eye balls (grapes)
in addition to what you have can i suggest (for after dinner)

scary fingers and warm blood?

sounds silly but look at the pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lij/2838690...

"Finger" Cookies (use them for air quotes!)
makes ~ 5 dozen
Yield: 5 dozen
Please note, this is not a nut-free recipe!

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla
2 2/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup whole blanched almonds
raspberry jelly

In bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg, almond extract and vanilla. Stir dry ingredients together, then add to wet and stir thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.

Working with one quarter of the dough at a time and keeping remainder refrigerated, roll a scant tablespoon full (I used a 1 oz. cookie scoop) of dough into a thin log shape about 4" long for each cookie. Squeeze clost to center and close to one end to create knuckle shapes. Press almond firmly into the end of the cookie for nail. Using paring knife, make slashes in several places to form knuckle. You want them a bit thin and gangly looking, since they'll puff a little when you bake them.

Place on lightly greased baking sheets (or use silicone sheets or parchment); bake in 325F oven for 20-25 minutes or until pale golden. Let cool for a few minutes.

Meanwhile, melt jelly over low heat in a small saucepan.

Carefully lift almond off of each finger, spoon a tiny amount of jelly onto nail bed and press almond back in place so the jelly oozes out from underneath. You can also make slashes in the finger and fill them with "blood.

You can also form toes - just make the cookies shorter and a bit wider and only add one joint instead of two. No almonds for these, just indent where the nailbed should be and add a bit of melted jelly to highlight once they are baked.

for the warm blood:
boil 3 cups skim milk in a pan
add 5 cinammon sticks
add 4 oz. white chocolate
add 1 tbsp vanilla

stir together well. add enough red food coloring to get a deep color.

serve in tea cups, with a scary finger on the side.

try making pumpkin and spider cupcakes!
green martinis with "eyeballs"
Okay, they are really green apple martinis with a cherry, but they look really cool.
How about going to BJs or Sam's Club and getting yourself a fog machine? Fog is cool.
Take mini carrots and stick a slivered almond to the end with a little dab of cream cheese, it looks like a finger with a fingernail, lol
Make sure your food is EASY to eat, especially if people are in costume and potentially milling about. Make everything in grabbable size if at all possible.
Decorate with mini pumpins with tea lights in them.
Cauliflower centerpiece (raw) with little dribbles of red clear frosting to look like blood coming down it is fun. Then you could surround it with deviled eggs with the filling FLAT and a slice of olive for a "pupil" on top, it becomes an eyeball to eat......
cookies and cupcakes
