I have my 21st Birthday coming up, and I need some help with a gay party theme. Any ideas?!
One would be a more subdued party. Base it on the gay pride flag. Use bold colored decorations with a signature drink that has a bold color. Depending on when you are planning this you could get a ton of stuff after christmas and hanukkah that are blue, red and green really cheap. The other colors you will just have to pay full price for. Play some Drew Paralic (I think that's how you spell it) and David coss.
The other more outrageous idea is to have a Babylon type party, from Queer as folk. Loud dance music, decorate with silver and gold, have silver and gold confetti on the floor, lots of booze and beer. Perhaps hire some drag queens to spice up the place.
Either way I would have passed hor doevres. If you are having party #1 just make sure they are wearing black pants and a white shirt, if you are having party #2 have them in tight black boxer briefs alone : )
Another really nice thing would also to make it a fundraiser type of thing either way. Instead of getting a ton of gift certificates to Macy's you could donate money to a charitable orgainzation, perhaps you have one locally.

don't understand, if your gay ,most of your friends must be gay, so why do you need a gay theme ,?
How about an '80's prom theme? Guys can do drag or not.....
Why don't you have a "Hetero" party? Everyone go as the 'straightest' person they can think of! (I was going to suggest John Wayne as an example...but you know what they say about 'Cowboys' "frequently being secretly....") ;)
