Chicken Curry
Curried Rice salad sweet and sour.
Chow Mien.
Meat Balls
Crackers and Dips.
Something regional
Something from other countries, let me open my recipe file, don't go away.

Bacon and Egg Slabs
Grease a rectangular oven dish and line with flaky pastry. (I use ready rolled)
Fry off trimmed and diced bacon and allow to cool on paper towels. Place in dish and make wells to drop 4 eggs in. Pierce the yolks and cover with another sheet of pastry. Pierce the pastry several times with a knife for steam vents. Brush with milk.
Bake in a 180C oven for 35-45 minutes until the pastry is golden.
Turn out and allow to cool a little then cut in 75mm squares.

Cheese Rolls.
Spread sandwich bread with butter or margarine and sprinkle with grated tasty cheese and fold into 3.
Place under a heated grill, and toast turning when the first side is done. Spread with butter on the top and serve.
Options; add some spring onions, chives or garlic chives, spread bread with butter and vegemite, or make with cold mince.
Options; To toast, use a sandwich press, George Foreman Grill etc.

Mouse Traps.
Toast 6 slices of bread
Sprinkle with grated tasty cheese and cut into fingers.
Bake in a slow oven for 30-45 minutes until crunchy.
Store in an airtight container.
Vegemite under the cheese tastes nice and sweet.
Bacon sprinkles could also be added.

finger foods, like pre-made hours'devours you can pick up at the supermarket (frozen isle). Theyre not good for you but theyre delicious! Also try having a bowl of pretzles/chips/cheetos whatever laying around. Or you can get a premade party sampler at a deli or restaurant like subway or wahtever if you have the extra cash.

Oh my gosh, these are so fun! You can really make ANYTHING you would normally make - Halloween style. Just get a little creative. Here are some ideas to get your brain started:

P.S. It's really fun to blindfold your guests, especially if they're younger, and put their hands in bowls of spaghetti and tell them that it's liver. Or that olives are eyeballs!

1 batch Basic Sugar Cookies
1 cup blanched almonds
1 tablespoon red food coloring

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place almonds in a bowl, drizzle on enough red food coloring to coat almonds. Stir almonds around so that they are evenly colored. Place almonds on paper towel-lined platter to dry.

Work with one half of the dough at a time and keep the remainder refrigerated. Scoop dough into tablespoonful-sized balls. Roll each piece of dough into a finger shape. Press 1 almond, pointy-end out, firmly into 1 end of cookie finger to form a nail. Press the tines of a fork lightly into the dough just below the nail and in the center of the finger to form knuckles.

Place cookies, about 1-inch apart, on parchment-lined cookie sheets; bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until pale golden. When cookies are done, let cool on cookie sheet for 3 minutes. Remove cookies to platter to cool completely. Repeat with remaining dough and almonds

Here's a fun Halloween project for the whole family. Use your imagination to decorate this house any way that you desire. Watch out for ghouls and goblins, they may just devour your masterpiece early!

You will need:
2 containers (16 ounce) chocolate fudge frosting*
2 empty 1 qt. milk cartons, rinsed and dried
1 large tray covered with foil.
*You can use a thick homemade frosting instead.

Decorations:
pretzel sticks
graham crackers
black licorice and red twists
candy corn
M&Ms
Foil wrapped Halloween Candy
rice crackers
Orange Sprinkles
Colored icing for writing or decorating

What you do

Tape each milk carton closed at top. Tape milk cartons together to make a house. Wrap with foil. Attach firmly to the covered tray with tape. Frost cartons with chocolate frosting. Frost the tray also to use as the lawn. Decorate with the assorted treats!

Some ideas

*Sprinkle orange sugar on the roof of the house.
*Rice crackers make neat "attic" windows.
*graham crackers for windows and doors-highlight with icing.
*pretzel stick window panes
*M&M "pathway stones" leading to the door.
*Candy corn "icicles" under the roof

After you have the house and pathway finished add details to the lawn area. Foil wrapped candy is great because you buy little mummies, ghosts or pumpkins and place them on the pathway and around the house. Buy from the bulk section of your grocery store to get a really good selection without having to buy a lot of one type of candy. After all the oohs and ahs have subsided and Halloween is over, let the kids pick off all the candy while they discuss what to do for next year's Haunted House Spectacular!

Some blood-red Chilean "Casillero Del Diablo" and "Gato Negro" of course...

PS: Can you make it 61?

olives... black ones that they can stick on their fingers and wiggle them around before eating! those are my fave party food! haha!
