Tea party blues?!
Answers: are proper tea parties baby-ish? because i am 14 and i like tea parties. how can i throw a grown up tea party? please HELP ME
Oh, my God you have found the rite person. I throw awesome tea parties. I have two young girls that I'm trying to raise as laddies so we throw tea parties for grandma's and friends oh it's great.
I have a ceramic tea set. Always use a table cloth, it looks much nicer. I always have a variety of tea and put a different once in each cup. The girls and I make things like lemon bars or baby sandwiches. I also have tinny champagne flutes that I use for water. They are plastic and I got them at Walmart in the party dept. Cloth napkins. Always have a vase of fresh flowers. We like to pick our own. I use name tags for the seating. Take a note card and bend it in half long ways. On the outside write there name and on the inside write something fun to do. like tell a story, tell a secret, sing a song. And then go around the table and trade cards.
We have such fun with it. And always put on your best dress! We all get dressed up. My girls love it, and so do our guests.
Well, I just answered your other question "14th Birthday" or something like that and I mentioned that you should have a small "girl tea section" and that won't be really a "tea PARTY" more like just a "girl tea drinking AREA", so that you guys could do your chit-chat over there and you know.
Baby-ish?! Never - high tea is considered VERY proper and VERY adult!
Here is a site with great ideas or maybe it will help stir up your own imagination.
