Since it is a baby boy, I would go with shades of blue, silver, and white (nothing too springy since it is almost winter lol). I've seen people make diaper cakes for centerpieces, all it is is layers of diapers stacked on each other to make a cake (and they are useful after the shower as well). Walmart, target, and party stores have things like baby themed confetti you could sprinkle over the tables cloths also. Matching plates, cups, napkins, etc is also a good idea, make sure the color goes with your theme. Your food sounds good- maybe get one of those photo cakes with the baby's pic on it? Hope you have fun and congrats!
erm... try ur best
Okay, I'd LOVE to help you out, but I'm confused... are you throwing a shower for someone else? If you're throwing your OWN shower, you ought to kick that 'duty' over to a close friend or family member... you're in no condition to be doing all that!
;)
Best of luck to you, regardless.
I'd really consider just having a much more simple situation than that if your literally the only one that can plan this. Something of this magnitude should be handled by someone else (friend, mother, relative). Your going to have a small baby between now and then to care for, you are not want to going to have to deal with this in such a short time that overlaps with the first few weeks of your child's life. You just need to give in and find someone to handle this for you. You might have to accept not such a formal (very strange to me anyway) party and just go for some good delivered food at someone's very nicely decorated house.
JTTY, I'm not good at these kinds of answers. I know I'm not really answering your question and everybody will tell me I'm a lazy a**. BUT! If your having so much trouble organizing such an event, I suggest hiring an event organizer. similar to a party/wedding/funeral/etc. organizer. Don't buy the most expensive person though because they will usually press you to buy the most expensive silverware, decorations (like a statue made of ice).
Also, have you thought of how to invite people? The bachelor party for your special other? Seating arrangements(optional)? Events(slide-shows, games, music, karaoke)?
Baby showers are meant for you to relax. You shouldn't stress yourself before having a baby. Its much healthier for you to have fun(no alcohol or smoking allowed at the party). Just relax and hand the organization to someone else. It doesn't even have to be a professional, maybe a friend or family. I would also suggest not being so formal as to a restaurant, if I'm thinking what your thinking. My [wife's] baby shower was held at our own house. I cooked. haha.. anyways, make it so your at a place where your comfortable. Maybe the best place you like to hang out. Or your favorite restaurant. It doesn't have to be fancy at all. No formal dressing. Make it so that everything there is relaxing and comfortable.
u cant go wrong wit diamonds if its a boy
