The real reason chocolate is brown is because of the cocoa powder AND how it is futher processed. Cocoa beans are in fact cream colored; the beans are a mix of the solids and the fat, or cocoa butter. When the beans are first harvested out of their pods, they are laid out in the sun to dry, which is when they start to take on a dark brown color. Cocoa powder is from the ground up beans and is separated from the butter component. The powder comes in two main forms, either alkalized or non-alkalyzed. Alkalized powder, also known as Dutch process cocoa powder, has an alkalizing agent to reduce the bitterness, which also makes the color much darker.

Idont know.

not all chocolate is brown! what about white chocolate, how is this attained?

theres also white cocolate lol
its because of the cocca bean

Rat poop. Rats poop in the white mixture. Natural chocolate is white, until rats get into it. When they poop, the colour changes.

Hope this helps.
