My 30th birthday!?!
Answers: Am going to hav a do on the 21st of december and would like some input from all you out there. Has any one got any different ideas for my special occasion. It bein so close to xmas i didn't want anything too expensive.... what do you guys reckon? OZ girl..
Do a anti-Christmas theme by having a luau party! do everything that'd you'd do in summer, cool drinks, grill out, indoor volleyball, maybe see if you know someone with an indoor pool area you could use? make sure everyone comes dressed for the occasion! you can find tons of decorations for it. coconut bikinis, grass skirts. maybe you can hire someone to come teach the girls how to hula!

Tape your picture all over the wall and give out something incredibly ridiculous when people arrive, like eggs.

Have a game night, with sandwiches, cookies, and your birthday cake for dessert.

Roller skating party! it's better if you rent the whole ring out for yourself and a group of friends. nothing says hello 30 like bringing back old school memories. whatever you do have fun
if you like to skate a neat idea would be to rent a rink and skate =] kinda kiddish but fun
have a lotr marathon, stay up all night watching all the 11 hours of Extended edition lord of the rings. and pig out on food, very fun thing to do.

Here's what me and my bestfriend did for our 30th Birthdays: She had a sleepover at hotel , it was leopard themed, you had to bring silk or satin leopard to sleep in ( glamorous attire only) upon arrival at the hotel we had cocktails and a meet and greet for those that didnt know each other (all Girls) we then had a limo take us to 3 clubs after the club we went back to the hotel and played games who know's the birthday girl best, pin the d*** on the dummy ( bought at an adult store) also I never and a few others, we had fabulous prizes in leopard bags we ate, had more drinks opened gifts, caught up with each other all night the next morning we went to breakfast and went our seperate ways after that (oh we had a professional make up artist to make us up before the club it was fabulous. For my 30th we had a party bus of 50 people from LA to Las vegas, we had too much fun , it was a 2 night stay in a hotel and needless to say we had a ball. Maybe you can get an idea from those two on a smaller scale. Most important is that you have a Fabulous time its your 30th enjoy!
I would certainly combine the bday with holidays. So not to offend anyone, make the theme "your favorite holiday" Have each guest dressed as they would for that holiday (Bikini for the 4th of July) and bring a dish or snack they would eat on that day.
Your holiday would be b-day. Celebrate with a specialty cake, lots of balloons. Make up a signature drink to serve and limit your other beverage choices. Suggest no gifts and guests will likely offer to bring their own beverage. (And usually leave what's left) Have each guest bring a old picture taken on their special holiday and post on a poster board. Have everyone guess who's who. Lots of memories rekindled and lots of laugh.
I think that just having a few people over for some fun and horderves would be nice. keep it simple. I am not really sure what kind of entertainment you like but we would just play card games and darts. If you like board games you can play them too. I think just having family and friends around for your birthday would be a nice gift so if you are looking to keep the expense down for your friends and family I would put that on the invitation ( No gifts please.. just having the ones I care about to celebrate is the biggest gift I can ask for) If the expense for your self is going to be a problem maybe you can add that if they would like an alcoholic beverage they may want to bring their own

a group of female friends do a strip areobics class, and go to dinner/club afterwards
