How much coffee should I use for a 40 cup pot? I need to make the coffee tomorrow! Help!?!

Question: Normally, it is 1 tablespoon per cup of coffee, and there are 16 tablespoons per cup(measuring cup) so, 40 divided by 16 = 2.5
So, you are going to need 2.5 cups of coffee to make a 40 cup pot of coffee.

I use 2 1/8th level scoops for 12 cups so...7/8 of a cup of coffee or a whole cup for a little stronger!

Fill the strainer 1/2 full.

If it's a drip Use 1 Std coffee measure (1/8 cup) coffee per six ounce cup.
