What can we do at their birthday party?!

Question: Ok, well due to work, we are having my husband's birthday party and our son's first birthday on the same day. I have the food all lined up, but now i'm like well what are we going to do? I don't want everyone to just eat and sit there then leave since most people are traveling to get here. I want to have a fun party. So any ideas? (we don't drink, so no drinking games please.)

I would suggest something that both adults and children can do. Maybe have pairs of people (1 child, 1 adult) and get them do a competition like a three legged race, get dressed in big clothes and get undressed fastest, eat the fastest jello, and fun stuff like that. Have an award at the end, mainly for the kids, to give them a job well done.

A party isnt a party without music...also a nice game of exchanging keys would be great

You could always go to a movie, or play one where the party is being held. Your local Rent-a-center can provide enough entertainment supplies if you dont have much on hand.

Well for the kid there is always a clown....a pinata is good for both son and hubby....just a thought

There aren't many fun games for one year olds, but the adults can play Charades or even party games such as Pin The Tail On The Donkey.

well you could um....... Have a BBQ and have a beach theme with like a 3ft blow up pool walmart fruit smoothies that is all that I can think of right now

GO HERE IT will give ya a long list of games you can play
