Please don't put oil in cooking water!!!
The only thing it guarantees is that the sauce won't stick to it.

The result will be sauce-less pasta & a pool of sauce in the plate.

If you want to prepare pasta ahead of time do what the pro's do.

Undercook pasta and divide into desired portions (Please do this) A cookie sheet lined with foil works great

Have a large pot of boiling water (salted) ready

When you want to serve the pasta just submerge in boiling water for a minute

It will separate quite nicely and finish cooking to al dente

Your guests will be dazzled by your culinary talent

Glad you asked!

Use a non stick pan, this really works!

add some olive oil while the pasta is cooking, dont cook the pasta completly then when you drain it then put some more olive oil on the pasta and it should stop it sticking

pasta only takes 10 minutes...........cook it just before serving and cook 1 minute less than recommended.

teaspoon of oil in the water

Don't overcook it, pasta should be 'al dente'. When cooked, run cold water through it until pasta is cold, then drizzle olive oil (sparingly)over, and mix gently through.

when you boil it, add some olive oil to the pot. this helps to keep it from sticking. if you notice it sticking after you rinse it, then just add a touch more and twirl it around and it'll keep it from sticking so much!

Put a bit of olive oil in the water before bringing it to a boil. Most pasta is meant to be cooked right before eating though - the longer it sits, the stickier (and mushier) it gets because all of the starches come out. I do not recommend cooking the pasta in the morning if it's not going to be served until the evening.

Pasta takes so little time to cook that you can cook it when you are just a bout to eat. Just add a little oil before you put the pasta in the water. Just make sure the water is boiling.

add a dash of water

Toss it with a little bit of Olive Oil. Even tossing it with a bit of warm water will work in a pinch. Enjoy you're party.

boil the water first, THEN put the pasta in. then after the pasta is in, put some butter in the pot and mix it through, then the pasta will be more slippery and won't stick :)

a tsp of oil in water

A spoonful of cooking oil in the water. Stir gently and regularly. Don't over boil it and when you pour it out use a spoon to seperate the pieces a bit.

use olive oil and don't overcook it

When you're boiling the water, add a little bit of Vegetable oil, and stir frequently while cooking it. Cover it after it's done to keep the liquids from evaporating while storing it.

Rolling boil, and use lots of water. Don't overcook.
Rinse it in cold water and put in ziplok bag, refrigerate.
When ready to use that night, place in colanandar and pour boiling water over it for a hot dish, cold water for a cold dish. Serve and enjoy! Hope your party goes well! :)

Before you add the pasta to the (boiling) water add just a teaspoon or two of oil, if you have the pasta already done prepard and if its sticky then add a little bit of oil after its ready just with your hands (if you haven't already).

Plenty of water, and stay with it. Don't leave it because it can quickly go from underdone to overdone. A couple of drops of olive oil can be useful, but not too much. If you overdo it, it's worse than not having any.

Add a little olive oil to the water.

Put salt in the water while boiling.

spay the pan with non stick oil before you boil the pasta

I put the water in the pan, boil the water and add vegetable oil and a pinch of salt. Let that all boil then add the pasta. EVOO tends to make it stick more. After I put the pasta in I keep stiring with a fork... Good Luck
