Bachelorette & Bridal Shower Ideas?!
Answers: It's getting down to the wire for my best friends wedding. I have the majority of it planned, but I was looking for some last minute ideas for the parties and some food ideas.
Ok, so I'm the old fogey of the bunch, but I just find penis games distasteful and passe. If your bride has had the requisite shower, you might consider having a lingerie shower for her. Here are some other ideas:
1. A formal tea with brimmed hats and all to honor all women and their commttment to marriage.
2. A celebration for the mothers and grandmothers of the bride and groom.
3. A quilting party to create a beautiful throw for the bride to be! Each person can decorate a squre and the party can be sewing them all together. Have a quilt maker create the backing and trim.
4. Have a bachelorette party if one hasn't been planned, only consider the brides taste in entertainment before planning something risque!
5. A spa day anyone?
6. Lunch for the girls, along with jewelry shopping or window shopping!
Food should remain simple and elegant. Consider appetizers that would include a cheese tray with several savory and scrumptious cheeses along with artisan breads, crackers, and crisp globe grapes. Also included might be an elegant bisque or chowder, along with mini sandwiches or bruschetta. Fruit kabobs with a Nutell adipping sauce is always nice, or a chocolate fountain. Gourmet olives and cured meats, along with thinly sliced baguettes are filling and attractive as well.

1. Bachelorette: Have a list of things for the bride to be to do the night of her party. Things like a. get a guy to give you a piggy back ride b. get your photo taken with a cop.
2. Bridal shower: Around the clock shower. Assign times of the day or night to guests and then they use their imagination to bring a gift associated with that time.

bridal showers are more casual. have it in the afternoon and usual finger foods - taco dip, veggies and dip, chez and crackers, little sandwiches, chips, maybe some thing hot like meatballs or some kind of hot dip. you really don't need alcohol for the shower, have some kind of punch and some sodas and water. decorate with the wedding colors. bachlorette party can start at a house, have one of those sexy/naughty parties where they come to the house and sell stuff. then you guys can either go out or keep partying there. have lot of jello shots, maybe a stripper? I had a hypnotist at my party, it was neat and something different. maybe hire a tarot card reader to come over and give fortunes. you can hire someone to come give pole dancing lessons, or belly dancing. you can serve all the usual party food at this also, I suggest serving little weenies! come up with a naughty name for all the food! we played a game where if you say your husband/boyfriends name you had to wear this huge penis necklace (or a big hat or something would work) it was fun.
