I would put the expense on my daughter. Start early in the day with a total hair, mani-pedi, make over, spa day maybe with a friend or a true mom-daughter experience. Stop at the local glamour shots type portrait studio. Have some pics done to bring to the party. Meet the friends her favorite restaurant or sports bar, or hire a small meeting room at a nice hotel and have it catered with some of her favorite finger food. And be sure to have a DJ and great music. She will be the envy of all - especially with her new glamorous look. Be sure to keep the glamor age appropriate. To top off the evening, a nice piece of real jewerly as a keepsake.

How about renting out a place at like the YMCA and hosting a dance for the grade? That's what my grade did a lot and it was the most exciting parts about middle school. Or you could have a themed party like a big football game coming up, or a holiday party. Hope this helps in some way!

WELL MY SON IS ABIUT THE SAME AGE IS YOUR DAUGHTER SO WE TOOK THE KIDS PAINT BALL SHOOTING. ALSO WE TOOK THEM TO A HOTEL JUST FOR KIDS. ALSO THEY CAN GOM BOWLING

okay its all about decor!COLORS COLORS COLORS!I have a 6th grade daughter also and we threw a party for her!It was a blast!Think hip food and lots of decor plus throw in some games here and there. If you want to have it be kinda like a scary movie thing were everyone brings a scary movie then comes voting then comes watching.Serve sprite as the main drink and maybe dr.pepper but whatever you do do not under any circumstances serve fruit punch.NO MATTER WHAT! ummm.... also there could be a dance contest and everyone could come as something like tottally random. If you want the party's theme could be random. And then you could just do anything.

What I did when my kids were in 6th grade was. We rented a school bus and stopped at mcdonalds and ate and then went to advanced laser tag which is two floors and played that for a while. The kids thought it was a blast. Both girls and boys loved it. Like 20 of the kids slept over after but I have twins one boy and one girl so maybe not the sleepover for your party. For yours maybe everyone could just come back to your house and dance and run around and play tag and everyone leave at like 10. The party was voted best one of the year by my kids friends.

Most kids of that age like to ride in a stretch limo, but that would probably only allow for 10-12 kids. Other good ideas for that age are hiring a sports hall for a soccer or basketball tournament, or if you have a karaoke machine, have an X factor/American Idol style competition, where everyone sings or does a magic trick, whatever they're good at. If you have a digital camera and printer, take photos of all the kids and print copies of the best ones to go in the party bags for a keepsake. My friend's daughter recently went out for a pizza with her friends (she's 14) but again, that's only a good idea for a small group. I hope your daughter and friends have a great time!
