Oh this is going to be so much fun.

First champagne, champagne, champagne.

Second, right after Hanukkah get a whole bunch of gelt, all of it you can find. It should be pretty cheap if you get it after Hanukkah ends. Pour them in different dishes all around the house. Decorations and snacks at the same time.

Lots and lots of jazz.

Have a classroom style room and serve deviled eggs for "oggsford". Get a large piece of cardboard or plywood and spray paint it with blackboard paint. Let people come in and sign the blackboard with the promise that it will be sealed for rememberance. Perhaps send a pic of the blackboard to your guests as a thank you.

Have one room like colored in green and one in grey with lighting. Have more somber music in one and more lively in the other. Hand passed hordeovres in both.

Definitely have a raw bar. Very East egg.

Replicate one room like NYC and one like Daisy's house and have hand passed horsdeorvres in both.

And a daisy room, of course. Some of them fresh, some of them wilted.

Of course you can't play golf in your house, but they have those little mini green things you can buy, or if you have a Wii or know someone who does you can play golf like Jordan.

Oh, and lots of sea scented candles around.

I don't want to inundate you with these ideas. Take every theme and go crazy.

Unless you have a million dollars to spend on the party, this theme will likely fall short.

I think that's a pretty ok theme.. here are some ideas.
1. Anna Nicole's dead family
2. Famous Celebrity Deaths
3. A ninja theme!!

This can be an expensive party to attempt.
My advice would be to watch the movie "The Great Gatsby" for ideas.....your party will need to be (or look) glamorous, opulent, and "rich"....
"Think"...yachting, tennis, polo, "The Hampton's", fine silver, fine table linens, spoiled rich kids, caviar, champagne, beautiful old cars....

Love that era and the Redford movie. No specific ideas, but I think it's a great theme, especially for New Years Eve.

I love the idea! I wish I could come! I don't have any real ideas, except maybe using daisies as your floral decoration (little pun there). I'd check out some typical 1920's food, and see if you can make a play on "bathtub gin". Good luck and let us know how the party went!
