Open House Party ideas?!

Question: We are moving into our first home and are looking to host an open house party. I would like to have great food that I don't have to babysit....Do you have any ideas for party foods that can sit at room temperature and still be delicious?

I don't mean chips, veggies and dips. I am looking for more upscale recipies and ideas! Thanks!

get cherry tomatoes cut off top and hollow out sprinkel with salt and place upside down on paper towel to dry. place an oyster in and drizzel with olive oil. easy and always a hit i've used it for years

cheese-kabob, ritz crackers with cheese in the can, homemade fruit cocktail sitting in its own juices, popeyes chicken in the box or howabout some chicken spaghetti. These would be a hit at any party. Good luck

get some crock pots and let them slow cook also sandwiches go to walmart they have chicken platers and things of that nature

I did something at my last party that was so super easy and everyone LOVED and it was kind of different.

I bought carmel apples at the grocery store, brought them home and then sliced them with my apple slicer (the kind that is a big circle with a little circle in the middle (to core the apple) and blades connecting the two that will slice).

Everyone really enjoyed them and they practically flew off the table. And they looked pretty because they were covered in nuts.
Last year I did something similar. I had an apple dipping station with caramel in a fondue pot and toppings that people could choose and it was a big pain in the you know where. It was hard to regulate the temperature of the carmel and it got burned and people dripped caramel onto my carpet.
The premade apples were way easier and much more popular.

make some sloppy joe mix or chopped turkey or beef for little sandwiches, and put it in a crockpot. get fancy little croissants or dinner rolls for them. you can make meatballs or little weenies in a crockpot - mix with one jar chili sauce and one can jellied cranberry sauce. taco dip, deviled eggs (put out a few at a time) artichoke dip or spinach dip with bread chunks, breshetta, veggie pizza you can cut out cool shapes with cookie cutters, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, mini egg rolls or crab rangoon you can order from a Chinese restaurant, tortilla roll ups with different fillings - I make this good one: 1 pkg cream chez, 1 pkg Hidden Valley southwest ranch mix, 1 can chopped black olives, 1 can diced green chilies, mix and spread on tortillas put in fridge till harder to slice into pieces, serve with salsa on the side.
