Any ideas on having a BMT party?!
Answers: It is the 5 year anniversary of my nephews bone marrow transplant and we are going to have a party to celebrate the success of the transplant and him being leukimia free. Any ideas on what we could do for the party such as games or decorations? We were thinking bone shaped cookies and red and white balloons, what do you think?
I think thats a great idea!
Also, not to sound corny, but you can set up the game "Operation"... (it has bones it in, LOL)...
Make a banner using a font (or if you can draw) that resembles bones.
Have a great time and congrats to your nephew!!!
Have a funn party where u invite his friends, and make random decorations like at ur house! make it colorful, make some food and/or buy food and I mean if u want to have cookies as bones u can, or just make normal cookies so u can make it more of a joyous time in my opinion...
A reminder of a trying time is sometimes hard especially on the younger crowd. Instead, try something joyful such as clowns or even his favorite sport.
Instead of going the literal 'bone' route what about the concept of sharing? Someone shared and saved his life! All of your games should involve team-work and sharing. A potato sac race is a perfect example. Two people have to work together and share to win. There's also the 'cups and strings' game, and lots more. You could go nuts with sharing/teamwork games on Google! It may seem cheesy, but it seems a bit less morbid than bones. Just a thought. Congrats and whatever you guys decide to do I hope you have a blast!
