Any suggestions for my moms 50Th birthday?!
Answers: I want to throw a suprise party for my mom, and our house is the only place i can do it. how do i get her out of the house from 11am- 12:30am?? she is very set in her ways and doesnt really eat breakfast.
I had the same dilemma when I threw a surprise party for my mum. I told her a friend had asked her to visit, she was upset because it was her birthday and friends should come to her not the other way around. I told her that her friend wasn't feeling well but really wanted to see her on her birthday, and finally persuaded her to go. Sending her to a spa or hairdresser could be expensive, and a little lonely if going by herself. I would suggest that you must have invited a couple of her friends, so ask one of them that are in on the surprise to call around to pick her up to take her for a coffee. This way she doesn't have her own car, and the friend can bring her back to the party at the right time. Most her of friends should be happy to do this to help out.

Tell her your gonna take her birthday shopping...
do you have any brothers or sisters?? maybe get them to ask your mom to go with them shopping or looking at something, maybe even to a movie!!!
Get a facial appt. for her. That would keep her out of the house long enough.
tell her for her bday u booked her a spa day at what ever spa is around your area.and book her one and get her the works should get her away for a while

My mom is about the same age, but she doesnt like going many places, get someone to get her to take the grandkids (or soem kidsin the family) to the park, mall, etc.
Schedule and appt so she can get a pedicure/manicure at a nail salon...or get her hair done...wich ever you think shed enjoy most!
You could get one of her friends to invite her out for coffee or just get her out of the house, or whatever. Or, you could pretend you were out of milk (just an example!) and get her to go to the shop and buy some more???
Talk to a friend of your Moms and persuade them to invite her round for a chat and coffee.
If you have sisters or brothers, they can help by inviting her stay over night or stay a few day with them.

Ask her to help you with something. I told my mother that I was having something delivered and really needed her help putting it away. Have someone take her somewhere, store, mall, beautiful parlor, then they just have to stop at your house for something. Its hard to say because I don't know her interests, but get help from one of her friends. They would know how to get her out and to your house.
