I'm planning my 13 year old cousin's birthday party. Ideas?!

Question: So far, I've got it planned to have a dance. It's going to be a boy/girl party.
I need ideas for games, food, drinks, game prizes, and such. Please help, thanks!

Games: Dance off.... Birthday Girl or Boy best known. You make a ton of questions about the birthday boy or girl like favorite color, who they had for a teacher, favorite food, birth date, etc. Then you make them into flashcards. Everyone gets into a line and you show the flashcard on top to the person, if they get it right they get a point, whomever has the most points at the end wins a prize. You can also have a flashcard say like, give a track list of the current CD in and then say turn it to her/his favorite song.
Food: pizza, mini sandwiches, chips dip, veggie platter, fruits, candy, bread bowl (with dip), cake, ice cream, etc. Then soda or punch. ;0 for drinks. A good punch is if you buy the Hawaiian punch soda and add fresh pineapple chunks, strawberry chunks, etc.
Game Prizes: http://www.centurynovelty.com or http://www.orientaltrading.com/ they both have great prizes. Like im about your cousins age and i like buying rubber ducks so i'd get a duck to sorta go with a minor theme. That depends on your cousins taste, more. (theres light up balls and etc.) You can put it in a box and let the kids pick.
For decorations: You can pick a theme, like disco (if you want) then partycity.com has fabulous decorations. Streamers for your cousins favorite color is great .

For thirteen your entering like the next stage of your life and may want to reflect on your life, fav color, pictures for decorations, etc.

:) Hope she/he has a great Birthday! Happy Pre-Birthday!
good luck w/ planning :)
hope I helped your planning go smoothly! =]

Think of a theme. It should be something important to your cousin, like "High School Musical".

Another idea, and you can include this in the first - DO something! Go bowling or roller blading or whatever. For example, if you did a High School Musical party then you could go to a show or rent the movie and have popcorn and candy or you could do karoake or have them write a play and put it on . . . the list goes on and on!

See what your cousin enjoys and work from there.

Good luck!

drinks:
root beer floats, smoothies, ices, soda, shirley temples
games:
twister, limbo, maybe have a black light for dancing
prizes:
as little as some candy, or as big as a gift card
