How to improvise a table for a Thanksgiving dinner?!

Question: I live in an on-campus apartment on the 13th floor. I'm having about a dozen ppl over and I would love it if everyone could sit at the same table. I have enough room to set up a table that big, but no idea how to improvise one without having to buy one and truck it home on public transportation (which I'm pretty sure would be next to impossible) Thanks so much!

Boy, they actually have a 13th floor! I'm impressed. But I can see where lugging something up there would be an issue. However, check with building/school maintenance. Maybe they have some extra sawhorses or cinderblocks and unused 4' x 8' boards or a couple doors that aren't in use. Set the boards on the sawhorses/blocks and cover with a tablecloth.

Good luck.

just go buy a fold up card table and throw a table cloth over it so it won't look like crap. you'd still have to go through the trouble of getting it home but if it folds up it'll be easier than a real table. OR you could just order a cheap one off the internet and have it delivered.

A door laid across two card tables or any two tables of similar height? The sell plastic 6 foot tables that folds in half at Target for about $30. Easy to store after for future use.

Suggest you find card tables you can borrow, set them end-to-end and cover them with a cleaned and pressed sheet or two. OR, have no table at all. Clear the room, lay your table cloths or sheet on the floor with Thanksgiving centerpiece, candles and paper plate place settings. Food can be served buffet style off of a smaller table or the kitchen counter. Have everyone bring a dish to share and a pillow to sit on and have an in-door Thanksgiving picnic.
