Stupidly whilst drunk I have agreed to decorate a function room Moulin Rouge style for my friends mums 50th Birthday party. Can anybody please give me some inspiration for walls, tables etc. My mind has gone blank and I really don't want to let her down.xxx

Do YOUR Moulin Rouge in Parisienne Moulin Rouge style...not Nicole Kidman's Moulin Rouge.
Do everything real glitzy and burlesque fashion. on the walls, tables etc... put big headdress decorations, elbow length gloves, fishnet stockings, showcase choreography, french show tunes...(think Las Vegas showgirl), top hats, etc. Get someone to dress up like a very sexy Marie Antoinette and walk around the room being risque and slapping everyone with a fan.
Put Moulin Rouge - Paris, France in your search bar and it comes up with a video clip of the real Moulin Rouge. It also has menus for meals you can eat before the show. That could give you ideas for the food... cheese boards, wine, escargot, veal, duck.... it just depends on how 'out there' you want to take it.
That should get you started (and teach you not to let your drunk mouth write checks your *** can't cash... kidding)
Watch the movie a couple of times, I'm sure it will come to you. Don't forget the absinthe!
