My boyfriend and I are sharing out 21st birthday together and we were wondering what a good theme would be?!

Question: We're three weeks apart and we're going the whole bar scene on our actually birthday, but in the middle of our birthdays we are hosting a huge party. Any good ideas? I kind of want a Western theme and he wants like a James Bond theme. Any good ideas on compromises? Any good ideas for cakes? Party favors?

I am looking for totally unique and unusual and crazy and wild ideas. The sky is the limit here!

Circus?
Rodeo?
Costume party where everyone comes as a letter (eg: a "P" party where people come as things staring with "P" - you could combine both your initials?
Salsa party?
I guess it depends on the time of year and weather - but you can't go past a good pool party/beach party?
What about Disco? or... let me see - you were both born in 86 - how about an 80's party? - bad perms and shoulder pads ?
What about a theme based around a favorite TV series? - The OC? Sex in the City? Simpsons? Science Fiction?
I'm running out of ideas now...
Hope that gives you some inspiration!

i love themed parties :)
i've been to many, but the best ones i found were: childhood heroes/childhood dream job , superheroes (invent your own), pirates and savages, disney characters.. lol

You guys could be Bonnie and Clyde, because they were around your age when they went on their crime spree. But your theme could be "doomed couples" or famous couples.

What about a swap party. You come dressed as him and he comes dressed as you. All your guests could do the same and cross dress.
James Bond is a spy, westerns are famous for their cops and robbers. Why not an old west spy theme.
Instead of having a 21st have a 42nd birthday.
