What's the best food bank food you got? What else did you get?!
Answers: When I was unemployed, the best we got from the food bank (bless them) was stuff from Trader Joes'. They gave the food bank a LOT of good stuff!
any food when you have none is a blessing
usually cheap beans, potatoes, noodles, odd veggies, hard to make a meal of it.
Christmas turkey, cranberry sauce, potatoes, and a very clear message that If I didn't have such an ineffective lifestyle I wouldn't have to beg -- I'm still grateful for the food, and I'm still working on learning to be grateful for the message ... I'm not sure about the grain beetles that came with the rice ...!
