For it to be cheap everyone needs to chip in. Either with money or bringing dishes/decorations etc. I am invited to an Avon Christmas party - that we have every year, and we always bring a dish of our choice and it is held in a Center that our District manager rents for $45 (that's for 3 hours), from city hall, it has a kitchen and bathrooms and a couple hundred people can fit in it easily. She brings some products to display that the company pays for, someone brings music and we all help out setting up tables, food, etc. Hope this helps.

Or try (if you live in one) an apartment complex's clubhouse. Mine is gorgeous and pretty inexpensive.

At the office and make it a pot luck party...everyone has to bring something that feeds at least 10 people...i works and easiest way to cut price down.
I don't think it Will be cheap even if you had it at your house...
Try a local pool ( unless its warm wear you live then the beach) Provide snacks and drinks.
