Birthday idea????!
Thanks for your help. (she will be 5)
Answers: This will be my daughters first yr inviting friends to her birthday party. We're having it at the fire department, they host it, get the cake decorations, they get a tour, get to do all kinds of things there. it is only about an hour long. Do you think this is a good idea for a party? is it lon enough? should I try to plan something else, like goin to to the park or something afterwards?
Thanks for your help. (she will be 5)
sounds fun! hour long though- maybe start off at the park for some play time to get some of their energy out before they start acting crazy at the fire department! have some relay race games for them to play there or something.
i think its a pretty cool idea....but i think the fire department thing can be a bit "boyish" ....and also, great parties are more like 2 hrs. Since she will be 5, i think something even better may be like an arts and crafts party...a lot of 5 yr olds tend to like that kind of stuff.
GOOD LUCK! =]
Yeah; that's a good idea. For 5 yr olds it's perfect. You may want to go to the park afterwards, that'd be fun, you could play duck duck goose, tag, etc. :)
At the age of 5 you want to keep it short and sweet. I assume the parents will have to hang around to help supervise....but if not then at least 1hr is not too much time to kill. Hopefully there is a cafe somewhere nearby....maybe shout the parents a cup of tea/coffee.
To move the party to a park afterwards is not necessary. The children will be pleased to have been to a party and their parents will be pleased that it is over and they can take the child home and settle them down again. Too much stimulation along with party food is always a stress for the parents.
Don't worry about the theme being boyish....little girls are in awe of men in uniforms...even at the age of 5. The mums will probably enjoy the experience also. A recent survey taken on an online matchmaking site found that firemen are considered the second most sexy to look at of the professions but also the profession that females would most like to date. A little eye candy for the mums is not such a bad idea....they'll love you for it :)
