Party Ideas...I need LOTS of help...please read inside!?!

Question: hey-
i'm having a small get together/party at my house in two weeks for some of my really good friends from band. i'm having such hard time deciding what to do. i'm thinking i should decorate with our school colors and get confetti & streamers, but then on the other hand, i could use the money for something else. Also, i don't know how much food is enough, or too little. I was thinking pizza, a bag or two of chips, we're getting a cake, and some candy. Also, two 2 liters of pop. My biggest problem though is what we could do. i need some really fun & not cheesy ideas. thanks so much for your help!

:)

stop at the dollar store for the decorations and just get streamers to hang EVERYWHERE!! skip the confetti- you'll have a huge mess to clean up and will still be finding pieces of it for months. (trust me!) do you have any of those take-and-bake pizza places around? check your mail for coupons for pizza someplace and do that, get some chips and soda (generic is fine too to save some money!) make a cake and save some money too- it's not hard, just make sure to wait till its completely cooled before you frost it- or make cupcakes! you can play relay races like 3 legged race or stuff like that. what about a game of kick ball? that's always fun if it's not too cold by you. you could play pictionary or charades, those are always fun. or just go pick up a new game from the store like scene it or something.

Balloons are great decorations you can use them on archways and on ways or ceilings as well as an activity! =] you can always add prizes inside the balloons or play keep the balloon up... im a teen and still LOVE doing that type of stuff. That should be enough food. You can play charades and or pictionary. Which is sort of mellow but still fun. Get some music and a movie. Have fun!

well for my party im playing a Oilja board. where u can talk to dead people and spirits. u could do that.

depends on how many people you have coming - but that sounds enough food. you could do a big tray of hot dogs too - that is easy - you just heat the franks in a big dish in the microwave (or on the stove in a saucepan of water) and have soft fresh hot dog buns - have available squirty bottles of mustard, sauce, relish, and a bowl of cheese and onion. your guests can then grab a napkin, a bun and create their own hotdogs (that is really cheap too - much cheaper than pizzas!!) if you have left-overs - the franks and buns all freeze. you can do the same for dessert too - have about 3 tubs of really nice icecreams that you think guests might like - eg. cookie dough, chocolate, whatever, and then bowls of m&m's and candies, squirty bottles of icecream syrup in different flavors (maple, chocolate, strawberry, caramel) and cut up fruit (strawberries, banana) and a bowl of chopped nuts. You can then let your guests create their own delicious sundaes for dessert.

you could play one of those fun DVD television games - such as "scene it" - there are even music themed ones which would be really fun for your "band" buddies.

or, even better, if you have a Playstation you can get out the "singstar" karaoke and have party singing battles - always fun and good for a laugh. If you don't have a playstation you can hire karaoke machines.

Watch Spongebob Squarepants "Band Geeks" - available on DVD.

You can buy blank canvases and can all paint a portrait of each other or something to do with band - you then all sign the canvases with permanent marker to remember each other. Creative and really different.

Pizza's good maybe 7 layer dip. too! bobbing for drinks Cans of sofa drinkes, seasonal color tied in to the format.. maybe have it outdoors with couple hay bails sit on? just an idea (Make sure people bring own chairs) too!!!

Assuming most of the guests will be girls about your age, I would recommend chocolate dipped strawberries. They make a nice presentation and girls almost always love them.
