"holiday" party?!
Answers: During the upcoming holidays (December) i wanna throw a party 4 me & my girlfriends. i have never thrown a party b4 tho, i've just been like hanging out at mall & stuff. so can u give some advice? i will have a huge tree & plenty of decorations, but wat could i do for hanukah celebrations? its gonna b an all-girl party, so how many should i invite? umm, what activites could we do? how do u do a secret santa? any other advice i would reali appreciate! thanks! : )
you can make it just a "Holiday Party", I don't think you need to go out and get any Hanukkah decorations, just use what you have- no one will care. have snacks for your guests, have things from all food groups - meatballs or little weenies, veggie tray and dip, cheese and crackers, fruit salad, taco dip, and something sweet like cup cakes or cookies. Invite as many people as you'd like, guests from outside your normal group are good too like work friends or cousins. I play this really fun game at my all girls 80's parties I have that includes exchanging gifts- have all your guests bring a wrapped gift (set a price limit like $5 or something) all the girls get in a circle and take turns rolling one dice, first person to get #1 picks a prize, next to get #2 can either take a new prize or steal someone elses, and so on and so on till all the prizes are gone. if you already have a prize unwrapped you can only steal from someone else and exchange your first gift for the one you're stealing. keep playing till everyone has something and maybe a few minutes more to keep the fun going of stealing, it gets brutal sometimes fighting over that one cool prize! (this year it was a pair of pajamas that everyone wanted!) so on the invites just tell the guests "Please bring one wrapped gift no more than $(whatever price you want) for a gift exchange." you guys could also decorate christmas cookies for another small activity, and they can take them home with them as well.
You could make it non denominational, and just celebrate the season. For secret santa you set a price limit, and then write everyones name on a piece of paper , put the papers in a hat or bag, and have each girl pull a name. OR you could just have everyone bring a gift for a female, and just put a number on it, and then have the ladies draw numbers at the party. I would invite however many you want. You could make it a theme party, like where guests bring s dish, or a drink, or somthing like that. good luck!
