Any ideas for a boys 6th birthday cake? Something eye-catching :)?!

Question: he probably has a favourite cartoon character, super hero or sport. i made one for a 5 year old with spider-man on. i made a round cake and piped a web on top, cut out a spider man from fondant/sugar-paste, dusted it with powder to make it look more 3-d and then painted the details on. i also made some little spiders. i stuck some the sides of the cake and sat some at the front with his name iced on them. he loved it! i also made a marzipan model of captain jack sparrow for my sister. the cake was covered in blue for the sea and i put an island on the top and sat him on there, with his bottle of rum! i made the grinch out of marzipan and had him sat with a pile of presents.
you can make a great cake design using characters from tv shows and using other things that are in the show.

Whats his fave cartoon charecter?
Put it on his cake, and put happy 6th birthday, ( kids name) Your my little ( his fave cartoon charecter) Use multi colored candles.

Make it a ice cream cake, vanilla inside, choclate outside! pretty yummy. ( make the frosting which will do the cake writing, make it red) cake gel. Take a picture of his fave cartoon charecter and bring it to a bakery and ask to make it so you can put it on paper. ( you can have it back)

you could shape the cake as half of a sports ball of whatever sport he likes

may be a three floor cake with 6 cartoon candles 3,2,1 respectively on each floor

You could do a sponge cake in the shape of a train. Jam in the middle icing on top.

i had a cake in the shape of a rectangle and it looked like a swimming pool, with blue jelly for the water and asorted lollies and umbrella (cocktail) on top and little toy people figers and malt sticks around the side of the cake. it was an eye opener of a birthday.!

here's a website you can look at for some ideas
