I'm making Tiramisu but I only have 'cooking marsala wine' and brandy-?!

Question: I know, real cooks don't use this cheap version of wine but would it make a difference in the dessert?

cooking wines are mostly made with salt and taste nothing like a true sweet marsala...so please dont ruin your dessert by adding that!

I would use either the brandy on it's own or a combination of both liquors.

Don't use the cooking wine - it will ruin the taste of your dessert. You could add a little brandy (not too much because it can be strong) or just not add any alcohol - I've had some that used vanilla extract that was good.

I always soak my lady fingers in just espresso. Maybe you could add some brandy & sugar to warm coffee and try that.

I would just use the brandy...if you have any rum that would work, as well.
