well cheese needs to be outside for a while or somthing well if milk smells after a while its only ligical if yellow cheese smells

All cheeses smell in one way or another. They almost always taste much better than they smell. The only exception would be processed American cheese, which not only smells like plastic, it tastes like plastic!

Everything smells...but that's why the cheese stands alone.

As mold grows on the cheese, it breaks down the protein in the cheese, resulting in the production of amino acids and
ammonia. Mold-ripened cheeses have a very distinctive
ammonia odor.
That's usually what it is.
