I have a recipe for spicy indian samosas....?!

Question: The recipe calls for deep-frying them. Can I bake them in the oven? If so, how long at what temp? (Farenheit, please.) Also, the dough used is a spring roll pastry. Can I use won-ton wrappers or something else?

it's meant to be friend tho. i know baking is healthier but its a treat right u don't plan to eat it every day. live it up and eat it in its traditional form.

You could bake them, I'm sure, but they won't be as crispy or good (at least not in my opinion.) If you have a convection oven, you could always follow the manufacturer's instructions for cooking egg rolls, but reduce the time. Then use the Crisp and Brown cycles to finish them. Otherwise, I'd go ahead and fry them as per the original recipe.

As far as spring roll and won-ton wrappers, there's not much difference between the two, so you could probably substitute one for the other.

not sure about baking them in the oven, but i'm pretty sure you can. and yes, you can use won-ton wrappers--i've seen people use them.
