Food in the UK?!
Answers: How is the food In England? I hear its not the greatest and you have to develop a taste for it. Hows it different from food in the US?
Let me put it this way.
There are more Michelin Starred restaurants in the Uk. There are more celebrated and renowned chefs working in the UK.
I would say that the food in the Uk is a world leader.
I also heard that the USA has the highest rate for obesity in the world as well as the highest rate for heart disease in the modern world.
Guess they need to find better chefs, ones that can use a pan instead of a deep fryer
It's great. There's more prepared food available in supermarkets and there's more of an emphasis on where the food came from (ie, it's not uncommon to see where fish was caught, or in which county strawberries were farmed)
A lot of English food is now very wholesome and people are more educated about cooking right and not having so much fat, salt, etc. Fast food is not as big here as it is in America and most people have smaller portions in restaurants than those that are provided over there.
