What do you think about chinese food?!

Question: Well, it all depends. The stuff served in the western countries is prepared in a way that suits the local people more and those dishes taste nothing like the originals in China. And there's more to it than just rice, noodles, soups, chicken and chilli. I love the real stuff, don't care much about the westernized Chinese cuisine. If you want spicy try Sichuan cuisine (main dishes shui zhu yu - spicy boiled fish, gong bao ji ding - spicy chicken with peanuts, yu xiang rou si - beef with bamboo, hui guo rou - beef with capsicums), if you want light try Cantonese cuisine (dim sum, soups, crabs, noodles and such). If you want to try some really weird tasting dishes, the best idea is to go to China - smaller towns in less developed provinces - and try the local foods. You'd be surprised how much it differs from the 'box of chao fan' you get from Mr. Wang at the local chain restaurant... :)

i eat it everyday... i am chinese

really delicious!!

i think i like it.

my favorite!!! =P

it's not healthy, lots of grease and perservatives not to mention the sodium

sucks

delicious.

most of it is the same, but i love it, one thing though, please keep those nasty water chestnuts out of everything, they dont need to be in every dish

High in starch, so you must exercise if you eat three meals a day, but it tastes good. They are the reason Italians have pasta noodles

its good food

I love the food at a Chinese restaurant, but I'm not sure it is really Chinese. Good stuff, though

love it great flavors and Little bit of spice and lots of kick

it's only good when it's made correctly.

I love chinn3es food very much

mmMMMMmmm
lovechinesesfood!
subgumalmondchowmein!

I think the taste is very bland. I prefer Thai or Japanese.

My favorite, but not the buffet laid out for Westerners.
Authentic Mandarin & Cantonese are the best.

I enjoy it, but am getting somewhat tired of it. When I moved to Maine twenty years ago, I had to travel thirty miles for a Chinese restaurant. Now they are everywhere and some are quite as good as any I've ever found in the big cities. But now I'm more into Thai food.

A lot of whay I've tried is okay, but I prefer Japanese Cuisine.

Kinda hard to say - I'll be back answering this question again after an hour or so...

Damn that MSG ;);););)

What we eat in the USA bears little resemblance to Chinese food. We load the dishes with protein in the form of meat and seafoods which most Oriental people could never afford. That said, I love it.

i'm chinese so i eat it everyday.

If you dont have a problem eating rice and noodles with a large permutation of different types of meats and vegetables you'd do fine

yum

well their sweet and sour chicken is good[depending on the restaurant]. other than that Thai food is better.

Love it... but hate "Chinese" fast-food.

I cook alot of Chinese and Filippino food

I love it! Except for the full feeling right away and then an hour later I am hungry again!

Someone from China once told me that the food they sell over here as "Chinese" isn't like real chinese food. Which makes perfect sense... If you eat "Chinese" food all the time, you would probably put on weight, but have you noticed that most Chinese people are not fat? They eat differently over there. I'm interested in having some REAL Chinese food.

I love it. Would gladly eat it everyday. The only thing is that...where I live in NC (originally from MD), alot of chinese cuisine has been americanized. I did find this great schezuan restaurant in a neighboring town and their food is fresh and authentic.

Best food in the entrie world.

It can be a great way to eat a lot of steamed vegetables and enjoy great tasting food. To eat healthy avoid the fried foods and syrupy sauces instead go for items stir fried with healthy oils.
