Suppose to some people it is in its traditional sense quite bland, but cant beat pies with gravy and veg, very good comfort food. England prob has best comfort food. And the best Baltis.

I love it! Meat and carbs. It's soo yummy! The most popular veggies in English cuisine are my faves to knock it off, too: carrrots, onions, and potatoes.

yh i do like english food. but you can't beat your own reglious food. lol

if i like english food it would only be a english breakfast lol

I agree with the people. the food is bland and without any thrills. Ethnic restaurants have saved the English from starvation.

It's alright. I like fish and chips and yorkshire pudding.

i like some of it but i like my asian food best too.

BLAND and greasy!!!!

Thank God I was eating mostly Polish and Indian food when I was staying with my aunt.

The only thing I did enjoy was fish and chips with mushy peas.
The tavern I had it in when I was in London put mint in with the peas, that was delicious.

There is a bad reputation here, a hangover lingering from first the great depression followed by WW11. I visit the Islands every 5 or 6 years. Now retired, I was able to spend a month there last year going from the south of England to the North of Scotland and have never eaten better in my life. Food was splendid, cooked to perfection, meat and seafood flavours beyond what I expected - the meat aged perfectly and the seafood fresh from the sea that morning. From Inns to Pubs to Fine hotel retaurant dining. Even meals with young relatives were super and right out of magazines (if they were trying to impress me it worked.) Cook books are well used now as well as old family favourites. The British now travel a lot and are exposed to culinary delights from all over Europe & North America. They still don't care too much for frozen food and like to buy fresh. Still love savoury pies, Soups & Stews. Did I leave out Fish & Chips? Well, if you go there, have that first and you may find you want to have them again & again.
I was so impressed that I bought a traditional cookbook at the Airport to read on the plane & finished reading it at home. Front page to last. I also use it now. Never too old to learn and I'm supposed to be a very good cook. The cuisine as well as the country may well be the reason many of the mega rich wants to get married there and now Donald Trump wants to build a golf paradise. Where he is planning to build has the most magnificent views but it's weather is something like Hawaii - rains often and then there are the rainbows, however, there is the sometimes spectacular Aurora Borealis. Golfers sure don't care about a little mist.

It good just bland.

it's good
