Tortillas...?!
Answers: Is there any one out there that makes home made tortillas any more? At home not bought from a store and warmed up!
i make home made flour tortillas my mom taught me how and i have a white hubby who bugs me to make them all the time. ill make them every now and then just because after work sometimes i dont feel like it because its pretty time consumming. im actually going to make some later 2night for dinner. hubby works 430pm-1am so we're kind of on a switched schedule dinner wise that's probly the main reason why i dont make them that much. who wants to be making tortillas at like midnight? growing up though my mom made them all the time i tend not to eat store bought though just doesnt taste the same. i dont know if it matters but im 21
I make homemade flour tortillas now and then. It's not at all difficult but it is time consuming. They're so much better than any store bought tortillas.
I make a huge double batch and store them in the freezer for later use.
I try to make them! My grandmother and mother-in-law have been trying to teach me. I don't know what it is, but the first 2 or 3 will come out soft and then the rest are like crackers! Not to mention the crazy shapes I roll out! But I agree, way better than store bought. At Costco, in the US, they sell these packages of raw tortillas to cook at home, that aren't so bad.
I haven't made them for a while but I still have the "comale"... the flat ceramic stone... for making them.
