Chinese buffets are for variety. You get to taste all kinds of food without having to make a full order. It is not about gorgeing yourself. That is ignorant. Pick exactly what you want and eat just the right protion for you. If you see something you have never tryed, take a tiny sample and try it. It is a great way to begin to know all the variety the Chinese make!!
Yummmmm. you are making me hungry!

eating a lot makes u fat

To get your money's worth - eat a lot of everything until you are so stuffed you throw up.

Wait until you have an empty stomach before you eat. You eat more in colder conditions.

Just eat until you're full. I rarely go to chinese buffets. It's a waste of money for me. I don't eat a lot. I usually order something off the menu instead.

chinese buffett is usually inexpensive, prolly less the 10 bucks a person, so if ya eat some fried rice, egg roll, some wonton soup, chicken and broccoli, some soft serve and a few fortune cookies, I'd say you got your monies worth!!

Getting your money's worth isn't worth getting really sick from eating too much. Just eat until you're full, don't try to eat too much.

The amount of food you can eat does NOT equal 'getting your moneys worth'; to get your money's worth it needs to taste great, be hot and fresh, and you need to enjoy every aspect of the meal. That is what getting your money's worth is really all about, not the amount of food you can consume.

just go for the more expensive looking dishes usually the ones with seafood in.

The best way to get your money out of any Buffet is to sample different dishes you normally would not order. Often the chef will put out favorite and specialty dishes in the buffet to encourage them being ordered later like broccoli asparagus or chicken cucumber. When you get to a buffet don't just get in line walk around and see what is offered then choose 2 dishes you know and 2 you have never tried before - with the dishes you know serve 1/2 size portion and with the new dish serve 1/4 size that way you can really try a good variety and if you hate the new dish you still have something you like on your plate. Remember to serve yourself small portions - you can always go back for a second serving. Buffet's are a great way to learn about more than the typical dishes. Good Luck!

Gross, Chinese buffets are nasty. The food is sitting out there all day with people sneezing on it, kids sticking there fingers in the food after picking their rear ends. People with TB, Hep, it's just nasty. besides buffets are for fat, ghetto people. Sorry.

I love Chinese buffet - it's not about eating everything in sight. Review everything first and then choose a few things you know you like or might like. Remember it's buffet and you can go back for more. I find it's really super because I can get a few of all the things I really like and try something new as well. I never overeat because I am diabetic and must be careful but then I can have lots of try outs without the need of having to order an entire dish and not be able to eat it all. Love to have a tiny bowl of soup & then mussels/crab/maybe a piece of lobster, crunchy vegetables in a little sauce mmmmmmmm the flavours are so good. Can have maybe one BBQ'd rib and perhaps a ja do chicken wing. If they are serving whole fish I always want to have a piece. I treat myself to a spring roll and/or maybe a shrimp roll. I never pile a plate as I would lose what little appetite I have but I don't seem to have a problem going back for another tasty piece of something equally wonderful. I 'm not sure what you mean by getting your money's worth. I am truly satisfied and I think that's getting my money's worth. I don't care to be in view of gluttons who can plow through three heaping platefuls and leave a 1/2 plate unfinished. I suppose they think they are getting their money's worth but they don't take any pleasure in their company, the atmosphere or in the food because it's off their plate so fast I don't know how they can even taste it.

Just eat the seafood like the prawns, sqiuds, crabs & fishes... That's how to get your money's worth...

Whenever my Husband and I plan on going to a Chinese Buffet for dinner we usually try to save up our stomach for it so we get our money's worth. Like skip lunch or maybe have a small snack instead of a meal. You can't go hungry all day before dinner time that wouldn't be healthy. I always get my money's worth, I eat more than my Husband can, and he ends up the one gaining the weight while I'm still pretty slim. I guess my metabolism is just higher than his. I'm a seafood gal so I take advantage of that, love them oysters.
