How come there's more chinese than japanese?!
Answers: How come there is more Chinese resturants than Japanese resturants in the Rochester, New York area? Is that because there's more Chinese people than Japanese? Inquiring mind want 2 know.
there are more Chinese people overall. Japan is an island, how many of them can there be to emigrate? on the other side there are at least 1,200,000,000 Chinese in China and who knows how many outside?
Probably because Chinese food is so much better, and has so many variations.
Chinese is popular because it is cheaper
Japanese offer more sophisticated atmosphere in dining.
Ever buy Japanese take out? No you want the dude to slice and dice the shrimps and steak come on now its just fun isn't it? I like Hunan style and Cantonese style food which is very good Chinese food. I also love Koby beef and sushi Shrimp teriyaki, excellent japanese food, but i ain't got a hundred bucks per person to get my ambiance on. I will settle for some moo-shu pancakes and some egg drop soup. When do we eat. Domo.
i think because more people like chinese better than japanese
China is also much bigger geograpically than Japan so there is more room for food.
I think because, like most said, Chinese is much cheaper and you get more for less. Japanese food tend to be very expensive and is found only in middleclass areas or higher, thus it is less common.
It's because chinese do really cook their food while japanese like them raw...
That is a very good question. I'd like to know that myself! I 'normally' get Chinese, because that is all that we have available. Recently, however, going to the mall, I ate Japanese and it was DELICIOUS! I sure wish that they would get a Japanese restaurant establishment going here!
Because Chinese food tastes better.
I'd say that you are right. Its the law of averages. The country with the largest population would have the most MSG saturated restaurants.
Chinese migrants ventured out of homeland earlier than Japanese, more people would have tried Chinese food before Japanese food, so hence they are more popular?
