Answers: the other half wants chinese but i want a curry. the answers we get will solve our arguement and hopefully i shall get some peace...............

Based purely on the fact that I'm currently trying to decide what I want from the chinese takeaway i'd say chinese...but in your situation-I'll phone for a chinese whenever my partner wants a curry (i'm not keen) and she'll phone for a curry,so we both get what we want.
