Question: I had it the other day and I LOVE it! Anyone else ever try it? I used to have an impression that African food wasn't that good, but now I think that it is GREAT!! I want some other dishes. What are other god African dishes to try?

Jerk Chicken- Yes- Make it with Walkers spice rub.
Jamaica is not African by the way. It is Caribean.

South, North, East and West Africa have very different cuisines all of which can be very tasty.

Check out Nigerian, Ghanian, Kenyan, Tanzanian, Somalian, Morrocan, Egyptian, South African recipe web sites.
for a start

Jamacia isn't in Africa.

i love yard bird no matter how it is prepared!

I think you may have had JERK CHICKEN, because we have Chicken Fricassee (Jamaica Style) and just browned chicken...we also have curried chicken.

I had it for the first time in Montego Bay man. With a Red Stripe beer. It was magnificent!Interesting to see what answers you get. I'd like to try a few of them too.

Welcome aboard, I too was also skeptical at first man oh man when you try it its like a taste of heaven with some attitude lol.

african food is different from jamaican food i like jamaican food

yup, sure do.

jamaican jerk chicken is delcious! especially with rice & peas with some oxtail gravy! its succulent, spicy and really flavorful! everyone who loves spicy food must try it... really great stuff!

I've never had jerk... not yet at least.

Jamaican cuisine has several different traditional chicken dishes. In case you are confused ... Jamaica is an island in the Caribbean, not part of Africa. It was populated with people of African descent through the slave trade. Those people then developed their own culture and distinctive cuisine, with influences from Africa as well as many other cultures (especially India, due to early Indian workers on the island).

Today, though African influences are apparent in some Jamaican cuisine, it is really very different.
