Does anyone know where I can find bulgur wheat in bulk to make my own Taboule?!

Question: I would like to make my own as a lot of the mixes in the International Food aisle are a bit too salty for me. I live near Rochester, NY, if that helps.

Rochester? WEGMANS! I used to live in Pittsford and I love Wegmans. They definitely carry bulgur wheat.

A health food shop, or an ethnic grocers

its lebanese food, i wounder if you can find there or not.

I'd check the "organic isle" in your grocery store. You may also want to look for stores that have bulk food dispensers. I'm sure you can find it at WholeFoods as well.

Good Luck!

why not check with several pastry >-- donut shops and bakeries,, for their wholesale suppliers..
You do not mention here what you consider bulk..
10, 25, 50, 100..??
Then again I bet you never asked the manager at your local grocer...being the only individual in Rochester ever thinking of it...

Health food stores and most good grocery chains have bulk food sections, and they'll very likely have bulgur wheat (also called bulghur).

Tip: Smell it before you buy it. Old bulghur can "turn", so you should not be able to detect the slightest hint of rancidity if its still fresh. Buy from a store where you know the bulghur supply turns over relatively swiftly (this is generally a good practice for almost all bulk items).
