  • Halal (????, ?alāl, halaal) is an Arabic term meaning "permissible". In the English language it most frequently refers to food that is permissible according to Islamic law. In the Arabic language it refers to anything that is permissible under Islam.

It's kind of like Kosher, except that it's for Muslims.

The word means permissable. It refers to meat that has been slaughtered using the name of Allah and no other gods. Please read the link for more information.

Halal is the same meaning as Kosher
its just that before they slaughter an animal they have to say
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH AND ALLAH IS THE GREATEST
    (ALLAH means GOD in Arabic)

It is a special way of killing an animal according to islamic law. For one there is no pork in the meat. They also kill it in a certain way. It is not the same as kosher meat.

it is a dish that muslime eat during ramadan.
