What exotic spices do you use with beef?!
meat balls to be served for cocktails, but not the
big fancy ones in a sauce that they make ..... I think it had sweet spices like clove & allspice, and maybe some garlic & ginger, could it be some little pieces of prune ??
In any case, I am looking for a cocktail snack.....something a little different from
the basil-garlic-black pepper seasoning...

Myself, I sometimes use a sauce with the regular onion and garlic, but also add a touch of cinnamon and cardamom. That one's really nice.

Mongolian Meat Balls
Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1 package dry onion soup mix
2 tablespoons butter
14 ounces catsup
10 ounces grape jelly
Directions
Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg and soup mix. Shape into balls and bake or fry until cooked through.
Mix butter, catsup and jelly. Add to meatballs and simmer for 1/2 hour.
If you can find star anise give that a try -- it has an unusual licorice flavor. It's one of the main ingredients in Chinese five-spice powder, and that's usually easier to find.

Ok .This is complitely another method to cook meat, If you want you can do it .
Here in Azerbaijan we take aproximatly 0,5 kg of meat ( but you can take as much as you want ) and cut into sections. Size ............... It"s all depends on you but don"t cut into small pieces . Take some garlic cut it also into selections and put into the meat. then fry it .
you can eat this meal with pototes or something esle
Try marinating it in a mixture of olive oil,garlic,dried or fresh chilli & a splash of peri-peri
