Do you know anything about the black sesame mixture the Japanese use to sprinkle over steamed rice?!

Question: What is it called, please?
I am looking for an online source, but don't know its name.
Do you have any favorite recipes using it?

Thank you

I think it's called FURIKAKE

or GOMASHIO

Are you talking about Soy Sauce? It is also good to use in cooking chicken.

The black sesame seeds are called Kuro Goma.

The previous answerer mentioned Furikake. It is a dry Japanese condiment usually meant to be sprinkled on top of rice. It typically consists of a mixture of dried and ground fish, black and white sesame seeds, chopped seaweed, sugar, salt, and monosodium glutamate. Other flavorful ingredients such as katsuobushi (sometimes indicated on the package as bonito), salmon, egg, vegetables, etc. are often added to the mix. Furikake is often brightly coloured, and flaky. In addition to furikake, there is gomashio, a rice condiment made of just sea salt and sesame seeds, which is actually what I think the previous answerer was talking about. <-- yes, the previous answerer did just add gomashio to their answer. :)

Black sesame seeds have an earthy taste, and are usually not toasted like white sesame seeds, or they will become bitter. Use as a garnish for rice, soups, and Asian desserts such as deep-fried bananas in caramel.
