Can anyone tell me how to prepare "Root of Dyers Woad Beverage?"?!

Question: I have some small packs of "Root of Dyers Woad Beverage" that a Chinese lady gave me a couple of years ago. I opened one today, expecting to find tea leaves, but instead I saw only small brown granules. Does anyone know how I should prepare this for drinking?

Here is one source that sells it, and says what it can be used for.

The other name is: Isatis indigotica

I would look into this more before you actually use it to drink. I found some sources that said it was toxic and used as indigo dye, and should not be eaten. Even this source says at the bottom the seeds are not to be ingested.

I found nothing that said how to prepare it for drink. I would probably go to the library and look at print sources on this, because the sources on the Internet had conflicting information.
