Why are these type of ethnic foods so popular: Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Mexican?!

Question: There are a lot of other ethnicities that live/lived in America and must have brought their food too

Answers: There are a lot of other ethnicities that live/lived in America and must have brought their food too

The people who have pioneered these restaurants have been very good at "Americanizing" them. They have learned how to make these things appeal to the American public through marketing, decorations, etc. While other ethinicities such as Filipino, German, Turkish, etc. are not so great at giving up elements of their homelands to market the hell out of their food. Which may be better for them, but not so much when it comes to running a business.

For me it's because the food is good tasting but very hard to make at home unless you cook a lot. American food (which I prefer over all) is easy to make. Toss a tater in the oven a can of green beans on the stove (open the can first) a steak on the grill and grab a hunk of bread. Yum Yum

Because americans tend to eat too many hamburgers/fries and its something different. We get tired of pizza and burgers.

they are popular in the uk too. possibly because they taste good?

Vietnamese, Spanish (from Spain), Chile, Venezuela, Grrece, Hungarian, Ukranian and other European Cultures, Phillipines, Thai, Malaysian food, etc...
Our city has all of the above
Depending on the size of city you live in you may find one or more of these too.

I think theyre popular becuase of their availability in so many different places
