Do Indian people eat hamburgers at McDonalds in India?!
Do Indians in USA eat tacos, hamburgers, etc. once they are away from their country?
Do Indian store owners sell meat from a cow ?
I really don't know..and would appreciate if anyone from India or if you are from there would answer this for me.
Also what other countries ban cow meat from their diet, and if no other countries do ,then why is it just India.
For example ,Pakistan, don't they have the same religion as the people in India.
I know Jewish people are not supposed to eat pork, but I have seen many Jewish people eat bacon and eggs.
I don't get it .
I am catholic ,and we are not supposed to eat meat on Friday during lent ,or on Ash Wednesday. Is that rule still in effect I don't know.
Answers: What do they eat then if they don't eat meat from a cow?

Mc Donald's in INDIA:
Makes chicken or veg burgers only, BEEF is illegal. Possibly in Delhi, they will make lamb burgers. That is the deal the McD's corp made with the Indian govt.
Indians in India do not eat tacos, they eat Indian food (rice, dals, sabjis, rotis....). Indians in this country: most dont eat beef or pork, they usually do eat chicken or fish. Most Indians in the US, remain vegetarian.
The Big Mac is called Maharaja Burger (it is either made using chicken patties or veg patties). The French Fries are tossed with a little spices. The chicken nuggets are served with a variety of Indian sauces and condiments.
For the avg Indian, McD's is very very expensive. They also believe the food is processed, not fresh, overpriced and not healthy (which is all true). McD's in India is mostly packed with Americans who miss the taste of home!
The majority of Indians are HINDU, this is our religion and we do not eat beef (or pork). Indians take their religious beliefs very seriously, devout Hindus would not dare eat beef (or any non veg). There are millions and millions of Hindus around the world, it is up to them to make their own choices. But most will make the choice NOT to consume beef.
Hi, I am indian but overseas.ok answer is Indian eat McDonalds. There is Chicken hambuger, meat, pork etc.. what you want you just tell. Then for hindhu people they wont eat Beef, Because they respect as god. And have some histories about it. Some people they still keep their tradtions and some are dont botherd about it, because For them God created everything for men. Next is, catholics, during the Lent season dont eat meat why? because It is preparing for Jesus death and resurrection. Like you know Jesus sufferd a lot in His Crucifixion. Lent season means 40 days of penitence and fasting. During that period you can mortify or sacrifice lots of things. That is one kind of purification. Do this kind of sacrifices, keep some money for poor people. End of 40 days you can save some money and give sombody who really needs you feel good. One whole year,365 days, you living with happiness and forget all about the people who is needy. Then this 40 days you cant sacrifice your meat drinks, cigarettes etc... You can enjoy 325 days. It is one kind of sacrifice to remember God and the people who is poor. Same time to pray for whole world, and stick more with God. You see Muslims they got their own time of fastings, Hidhus also they got their own time to do fastings and some kind of mortification. no need to accept if you dont want to observe lent season it is upto you. The Church can tell you lent season time of abstinence and penitence. But all it is in you if you have to observe or not.
Ugh hello, they worship cows!!!&there is not alternative(they can not use the Maccas logo(copywrite)if they don't serve their menu.Pork&beef are not usually consumed. No,no maccas in India(or at least we never saw any when we travelled over)granted that was nearly 10yrs ago. There's probably a version in yuppy/bollywood.ha,ah..acha?(means ok,in hindi)
PS:only naughty(disobey religious belief/culture)do(of course they'll go into maccas&order something other than'beef'(most)but hers(australia)my indian friend sneeks to maccas for a beef-burger(every time she fights with b/f or parents)naughty, naughty!
most Indians are vegetarian
I have been to McD's in India, and had a "garden burger" type of burger. The place really was filled with mostly Americans!! Hindus will not consume beef (most will also not eat pork), the country is mainly vegetarian. The majority of Indians prefer to eat a good healthy homecooked meal rather than McDs.
Desi Chef is right, it is too much money for the majority of people. Indians usually dont stray far from their religion, it is a way of life. I am Indian (born & bred CA girl) and have never eaten beef or pork. Most of my Indian friends (here in the US) are either veg or eat chicken/seafood. Most (cant speak for all) will not eat beef no matter where they are in this world. We have survived (even exploded our population) without eating beef for over 6000+yrs, McD's presence will never shake our faith, religion or beliefs!
This is a good article:

No, Pakistan has a different religion (they are mostly Muslim).
Nepal is another country where beef is taboo. Until recently, Nepal was the only 'Hindu kingdom' in the world as India never had that title to begin with. However I think the Nepalese government passed a bill to call themselves a secular republic.
I've never been to McDs in India but I believe their "hamburgers" are made from lamb.
I have lots of Indian friends and they tell me that lots of dairy cattle are sold to be culled because their owners are unable to afford their upkeep...I think it's sad that they have adopted the Western way "if it's givin' ya problems, kill it".
Some of my friends are lacto-vegetarian. Others were, but 'converted' to a typical Western diet after arriving here. I guess some of them were loyal to their culture, while others weren't.
I also have a Muslim friend who ate bacon, and gave it up again later.
they eat makke di roti sarrso da saag
NOO selling beef is illegal there trust i know i'm indian
