Question: I was wondering if anyone knew how to ship desserts, specifically cakes or pies, through the mail?

In our city we have small packaging mail services that will pack items for us. Look around and see if you have this service too. Ask to see their boxes that would be good for sending desserts through the mail.

Oh yes lots of places do that you just ave to go to web sights and see if they do delivery.

Just Desserts does is around the country. Even your nearest grocer may deleiver.

I have sent cakes to the Philippines and Taiwan. I wrapped the individual layers in saran wrap, then placed the frosting in one of those Glad reusable bowls. I tape the bowl down to the bottom of the box. then put in the styrofoam popcorn and place the cakes, in cardboard, into the box, more popcorn, the next layer, etc. Then I wrap it up and it send it International Express. Gets there in 4 days. I have never sent pies though. Could not figure out how to package it without damaging the crust.

If you want it to last and not spoil and not get ruined during the trip, try packing it in dry ice. Get it at any party store or dermatologist or any super store or markets has them.
